Nokod Security has secured $8 million in seed funding to establish a new standard for Application Security (AppSec) in the era of low-code/no-code (LCNC) and robotic process automation (RPA).
The round was led by Acrew Capital, Meron Capital, and Flint Capital – firms with deep roots in cybersecurity and a portfolio that includes industry shapers like Exabeam, Laminar, and Socure. This capital fuels our expansion into the U.S. market and accelerates the R&D behind our core mission: securing the applications that citizen developers build.
The Security Gap in the Low-Code Boom
The market is shifting fast. By 2024, 65% of all application development will happen on low-code platforms like Microsoft Power Platform, ServiceNow, and UiPath. Generative AI tools are only hitting the accelerator on this trend, allowing non-technical employees to build complex automations in minutes.
But speed has a cost. These platforms operate outside the traditional software development lifecycle (SDLC). When a marketing manager builds an automation that moves customer data to a public spreadsheet, traditional security tools don’t see it.
Nokod exists to close this gap. We provide the first platform designed to give security teams visibility and control over this new “shadow engineering” attack surface, ensuring compliance without blocking business innovation.
Built by AppSec Veterans
This problem requires a team that understands how enterprise security scales. Nokod was founded by:
Yair Finzi (CEO): Former Head of Department in the Israeli Armyβs elite cyber unit and co-founder of SecuredTouch (acquired by Ping Identity).
Amichai Shulman (CTO): Co-founder and former CTO of Imperva, a giant in data and application security.
βThis trend creates a risk that takes us back to the days when everyone coded without proper security measures. Our product ensures secure citizen development within enterprises, preventing the unauthorized access of sensitive business data.β β Yair Finzi, CEO of Nokod Security
Why Top Investors Are Backing Nokod
The investment community recognizes that the “Shared Responsibility Model” of cloud platforms leaves a massive liability for the customer.
Mark Kraynak, founding partner at Acrew Capital, put it best: “Low-code apps are being widely deployed, but the shared security model only helps customers up to a certain point. Then, they are on their own. This is a huge looming security problem.”
With this funding, Nokod is positioned to solve that problem, ensuring that the next wave of digital transformation is as secure as it is fast.
